A Life of Vision

According to Oxford definition, vision is “the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.”

Vision in one’s life is the passion that keeps him or her strong to face the challenges of life. It gives meaning, certainty and value to our every action. For the Christian, vision is not created but discovered or recieved. Hab 2:2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Though some may argue Vision to be Ambition, the former actually is to affect the lives of others and bring  a positive change to the society, but the latter is for self-gratification and exaltation.

Vision is a sight and picture we receive from the Spirit within, something that can only be exposed to us by God for the purpose of His glory.

After God created the first man Adam, the very first thing he gave man was Vision. We can find this in Genesis Chapter 1:27-30
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Visions can be received in relation to every aspects of our lives; our jobs, faith, prayer live, carreer, families, marriages, financial spendings etc

Many people have lost times, relationship and opportunities because they lack the vision on how their lives should go in honour to God.

What has God said concerning you? What pattern has he laid for you to follow?

The only problem that seem to challenge God’s vision in our lives is our lack of discernment, understanding and sensitivity to what God is doing and how he is leading us.

You can seek God by prayer and fasting for more clarity of vision.

It is my prayer for you that your eyes be open to see what God is showing you and to act as required. As Paul says Gal 1:15-16 But when it pleased God,..that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
