The idea of worship in our present days gives a whole lot of concern as regards how it should truly be done in honor to God (the Father). Men have had the concept of giving-sacrifices as true way of worship but the truth is something more simpler. We should know that worship is beyond the songs, voices and instruments. These are all expressions of worship.
In John chapter4 (a popular scripture) our Lord Jesus spoke and gave the most simple and open expectation of God for us his children in regards to TRUE WORSHIP. He says in John 4:23
23 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”
Two things are notable here: SPIRIT and TRUTH
Why SPIRIT? We see here that the true life of worship is that the SPIRIT of God takes control over you. 
This means that, the Holyspirit takes control of our words, actions, way of thoughts (philosophy about marriage, purpose, music, eating…) and our commitment to God in prayer, giving, fasting etc. The scripture told us about Jesus who after His baptism at river Jordan was “… led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. (Matt4:1). When we allow the Holyspirit truly lead us, He blesses us with ideas and patterns that goes in line with what God wants for us individually and collectively.
Why TRUTH? Truth here simply means that the believer is consumed and led by the WORD of GOD. This is very important because there are many voices speaking to us; from the environment, human education, peers and demonic beings, but when we give attention to God”s word, we will be able to know how God thinks about us. we will be able to known His will concerning every aspects of our lives. In Rom 12:2 Apostle Paul was encouraging us that we should not be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
If we don’t study, we cannot prove. This is extremely important for us who follow Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, most believers find it hard to study their bible, this my friend, is a trick of Satan to hide your true potential (in Christ) from you.
I encourage you today to cry out to the Holyghost to restore passion for His word in you.
It is my prayer that you begin to engage this revelation immediately.
Prayer point: Lord, today by the help of your precious Spirit given to me, I begin to study your Word and daily submit to the leading of the Holyspirit. Glory to Jesus !!
